FAQ’s

Are you good at what you do?
I am an ITEC qualified therapist (www.itecworld.com).
My tutors Bavara and Lolit are testament to my capabilities as they have more than 20 years teaching, practising experience between the two of them. Through their teaching and know how, I am confident that I will provide a rewarding, unique and enriching experience to all my clients; new and old.
What makes you different to any other practitioner?
As all GP’s are registered with the General Medical Council and other professions registered with own their regulatory bodies, I myself am a member of EMBODY an official register of qualified therapists (www.embodyforyou.com) and the CThA Complimentary Therapist Association (www.complementary.assoc.org.uk) that provides my public liability insurance. To be registered/insured I have to abide by a strict code of conduct to my clients, fellow practitioners and other medical personnel. I have a commitment as part of my insurance to continued learning. So as a new or existing client rest assured that I am committed to the future as a Massage Therapist.
Do I have to completely undress?
No! It is important that you only undress to a point that you feel comfortable with. On the other hand if you wish to completely undress you are free to do so. Your privacy is always maintained by way of a fleecy cover to protect your modesty but most important to keep you warm.
What sort of oils do you use?
I only use at present grape seed oil which is a good non hypoallergenic based oil for my work ie to avoid any nut based allergies.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Everything that is needed will be supplied when you come to visit. If you wish to have your favourite music played, bring that with you. (On CD disc format)
If you have an EMBODY voucher please bring this with you. This can be obtained from the website www.embodyforyou.com
What should I do after I have had a massage?
It is important to keep yourself warm with plenty of clothing but to also drink good quantities of water to help flush out toxins/waste products the massage treatment has helped release. It is also a good idea to relax and not rush back to work if you have to. My advice is to have a bath when you get home in order to prolong the benefits of your massage. This is to let your body rebalance and adjust itself after having a treatment. If possible try and avoid having any alcohol as it may have a negative effect to the massage itself.
If you find you have any questions from your treatment, please let me know and I will endeavour to answer them the best I can at your next visit.
